I am told this is impossible to photograph and every photograph I have seen looks different to those before and always the photos are quite different compared to the painting.
Depending on how long one looks, according to the qualities of light or the relevant position of the viewer, the painting appears more gold, more pink or even a mauve.
Again we find shapes with blurred-edged borders. In some lights the colour in the larger shape appears as if an aura in front of the canvas.
It is supposed to beckon one into a dimension of colour and light – into an experience apart from, perhaps even beyond, daily experience. When viewed for 30 to 60 seconds the viewer’s ideas of the image change.
